This famous waltz by Johannes Brahms is #15 of his Op. 39, Sixteen Waltzes. The original waltzes were written for piano duet, (one piano, four hands). He also arranged the waltzes in two solo versions, one simplified and the other more difficult. Composed in 1865, Brahms dedicated the waltzes to Eduard Hanslick, an influential music critic of the time, and they were well received.
