I have installed the Win10 app, but when I enter my username and copy-paste my (horrendously long) password that I was given (and don’t see how to change…but that’s a different story), it says that it is incorrect. It works on the webpage with two different browsers, so I know the info is correct. My ultimate goal is to add content from the website.

RainaAre you using a free StringClub account? Free accounts cannot be used to connect the store app to the site to download content.
Also, you can edit your profile and change your password. On the top right there is an “admin” menu that will ultimately let you go here: http://thestringclub.com/wp-admin/profile.php.
There is a generate password button that will let you set your password to what you want.
You are correct about your user name being too long. I am very sorry about this and we will have a fix on the MS store within next 24 hours that will resolve that for you. There is a discrepancy between what the application and site consider the maximum length for the user name to be.
